February 13, 2025: Student transportation cancelled, OCDSB schools remain open

All school buses and vans serving the OCDSB will be cancelled on February 13, 2025, due to poor weather conditions. For students assigned to public transit (Presto), all 600-series school routes and any school trips on regular routes will not operate.

OCDSB schools will be open. Parents and caregivers are welcome to drop off their children at school and pick them up at regular bell times. The Extended Day Program will also be open for registered students.

Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education provides secondary school students the ability to earn credits while working in a community outside of their school. Students will have the opportunity to develop personal and workplace skills important to their career and life planning.  Norman Johnston works one-on-one with students to provide opportunities for success in the world of work.

OYAP- Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program

Students can get a step ahead by becoming an OYAP trades student! Gain valuable skills & experience in the trades! OYAP students also have access to money for safety equipment, earn trade-specific certifications, and apply for funding for their future schooling!

Dual Credit- Earn credits for high school & College at the same time!

Students can gain valuable skills and experiences at college by completing the dual credit program at Algonquin College. Students attend once a week for an entire semester. Students learn to balance academic and personal life while being shown what college has to offer in an area of interest. These credits count as an elective for their high school and as an Algonquin College credit.
